Feeding Study

The findings from Wyatt's feedin study are as follows:

 

"Disorganized motor function and pharyngeal coordination with pooling of food material within the piriform sinuses. This is believed to pose high risk for aspiration. Glottic penetration as well as single episode of aspiration seen with nectar consistency during swallowing. Penetration but not aspiration was identified with purée consistency."
